(क) हुदहुद को कहीं ‘हजामिन’ चिड़िया और कहीं ‘पदुबया’ के नाम से पुकारते हैं| क्यों?
उत्तर- हुदहुद को कहीं कहीं ‘हजामिन’ चिड़िया के नाम से पुकारते हैं, क्योंकि इसकी की चोंच नाखून काटने वाली ‘नहरनी’ से मिलती है|
हुदहुद को कही-कही ‘पदुबया’ के नाम से पुकारा जाता है, क्योंकि यह दूब में से भी कीड़ा ढूँढ लेती है|
(ख) हुदहुद की चोंच पतली, लंबी और तीखी होती है| इस बात को ध्यान में रखकर बताओ-
* वे कैसा भोजन खाते होंगे?
* चोंच से वे क्या–क्या ले सकते हैं?
उत्तर- *वे छोटे – छोटे कीड़े मकोड़े खाते होंगे|
* चोंच से जमीन खोदकर भी कीड़े निकाल लेते होंगे| वे घास में छिपे हुए कीड़े-मकोड़े भी ढूँढ लेते होंगे|
(क) अगर तुम्हें हुदहुद को पहचानने में किसी की मदद करनी है तो तुम उसे कौन-सी बातें बताओगे? चार-पाँच वाक्यों से लिखो| 
उत्तर- हुदहुद का सारा शरीर रंग-बिरंगा और चटकीला होता है| उसके पंख काले होते हैं उन पर मोटी सफेद धारियाँ होती है| उसके सिर पर बादामी रंग की कलगी होती है जिसके सिरे काले और सफेद होते हैं| इसकी दुम का हिस्सा सफेद और बाहरी हिस्सा काले रंग का होता है| इसकी चोंच पतली, लम्बी और तीखी होती है|
